Position:
Director - Quality Management (FT)


POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the daily operation of the Quality Management services. Under administrative direction, is responsible for the management, professional development, budgetary control and leadership in directing departmental operations for outcomes, management and survey preparedness; in addition, is responsible for ensuring compliance in all federal and state regulations.

  • Demonstrates leadership in the provision of departmental services through a collaborative process designed to integrate services/functions throughout Northwest Texas Healthcare System
  • Directs daily operations and activities associated with Quality Management
  • Responsible for the management, professional development, budgetary control and leadership in directing departmental operations for outcomes, management and survey preparedness
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance in all federal and state regulations

Qualifications:
Education, Training, Experience and Licenses/Registrations Required:
  • Bachelor degree; Master degree in related field, preferred
  • Clinical background with working knowledge of quality management, 5 years acute care
  • Five years management experience, with a working knowledge of management, benchmarking, outcome measurement, team development and quality tools, preferably healthcare
  • Knowledge of statistics, data collection and survey design, helpful
  • Database management and/or development, helpful
  • Highly developed organizational, interpersonal and management skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance (i.e. state, Federal, Joint Commission, HIPAA, etc.)

Physical and Sensory Requirements:
  • Ability to read, write and converse in English
  • Ability to speak and hear, to allow discussions with employees and peers
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under stress
  • Ability to respond to pages, telephones and other auditory stimulation
  • Ability to evaluate and interpret information and make independent decisions
  • Bending, lifting (5-10 lbs), grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling, prolonged standing and/or sitting
  • Ability to understand and interpret financial data
