Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Alarm Technician to join our team. As an Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing alarm systems for residential and commercial clients. Your expertise in detecting and resolving issues will ensure the safety and security of our customers.
Duties:
- Install, program, and test alarm systems, including intrusion detection, access control systems, fire alarms, and CCTV systems
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on existing alarm systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with alarm systems, including diagnosing problems with wiring, sensors, or control panels
- Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs and provide recommendations for system design and upgrades
- Keep accurate records of all installations, repairs, and maintenance activities
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards and regulations, such as the National Electrical Code (NEC), to ensure compliance in all installations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as an Alarm Technician or similar role
- Strong knowledge of alarm system components and functionality
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and computer hardware
- Familiarity with computer networking principles
- Understanding of low voltage electrical systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong communication skills to interact with clients effectively
