Northwest Opportunities is Hiring an Item Processing Specialist Near WARREN, PA

The Item Processing Specialist I is responsible for the overall day-to-day operational functions of the Branch Capture department while providing leadership, guidance, and support to Branch Capture staff regarding issues and/or procedural changes that may arise. Additional duties include analyzing reports, developing and maintaining production reports and provide training and support to retail branch offices while performing testing and training on all operational systems. This position ensures that production and quality standards are met, while maintaining optimum efficiency.

This position is eligible for a shift differential.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Prepare departmental reports and analysis
  • Identify and resolve Customer Service issues
  • Provide excellent customer and business unit support
  • Maintain appropriate departmental records and reports
  • Perform product and service development related tasks
  • Interact with other business units within Northwest
  • Ensure all processes are being followed correctly by the Branch Capture Department
  • Perform quality checks of departmental work
  • Perform training and development (cross training) of Branch Capture department
  • Additional duties include developing and maintaining production reports and provide training and support to retail branch offices
  • Recommend improvements to procedures and staffing metrics
  • Recommend service and delivery enhancements
  • Recommend product enhancements
  • Attempt to exceed Northwest expectations
  • Contribute to goal setting and achievement
  • Ensure compliance with Northwest’s policies and procedures, and Federal/State regulations
  • Navigate Microsoft Office Software, computer applications, and software specific to the department in order to maximize technology tools and gain efficiency
  • Work as part of a team
  • Work with on-site equipment

  • Ability to present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to the audience, whether oral or written
  • Ability to actively listen to what others are saying to achieve understanding, sharing information with others and facilitating the open exchange of ideas and information
  • Ability to establish courses of action for self to accomplish specific goals, develop and use tracking systems for monitoring own work progress, and effectively use resources such as time and information
  • Ability to make right decisions based on perceptive and analytical processes, practicing good judgment in gray areas

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: 

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred

Work Experience:

  • Less than 2 years Item Processing experience preferred
  • 2 - 6 years related banking experience preferred
  • 2 - 6 years administrative experience preferred
  • 2 - 6 years technological or relevant experience preferred
