NNU’s College of Behavioral and Social Science is seeking to fill a full-time, tenure track position (rank dependent upon experience) in PsyD department beginning Fall 2025 with major responsibilities in teaching and supporting research in the PsyD in Clinical Psychology program. We are seeking candidates with expertise in the provision of evidence-based mental health assessments and interventions across a diverse range of populations and settings, as well as specialized areas of interest. Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to high-quality clinical training, supervision, and teaching, along with a vision for expanding psychology services and programs provided to children, youth, and families with a particular emphasis on underserved communities. We strongly encourage applicants who would enhance the diversity of our faculty.
Primary duties include:
• Supervising between 6 – 8 dissertations
• Teaching doctoral courses
• Advising doctoral students
• Serving on doctoral committees
• Engaging in research and scholarly endeavors
• Developing courses as required
• Collaborating with colleagues in local agencies and the university
• Providing meaningful service to the university, community, and to the profession
Requirements
Required Qualifications
• Doctoral degree from an APA accredited Psychology program (PhD or PsyD)
• Strong interest in mentoring students throughout the dissertation process
• Ability to work in a team
• Desire to be an active learner to understand the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
• The university requires that all candidates be Christians (preferably in the Wesleyan tradition). Faculty must be comfortable with the mission and agree to live within the lifestyle values of NNU
Preferred Qualifications
• Expertise in an area of Psychology
• Licensed in the State of Idaho or eligible to become licensed in the State of Idaho
Compensation
Salary will be determined by the educational background and experience of the candidate.
