Job Summary:

This program offers students training opportunities, specialized classroom instruction, and practical shop experience to prepare individuals for employment as entry-level diesel-powered equipment technicians. The program prepares the individual to select, safely use, and maintain hand and power tools, jacks, and hoisting equipment. The content includes, but is not limited to, disassembling engines, replacing parts, fuel injection systems, oil and water pumps, electrical systems, steering and suspension systems, brake systems, drive trains, and chassis.

Duties:

- Teach and instruct students in various technical subjects.
- Develop and deliver engaging lessons that cater to adult learners.
- Demonstrate hands-on skills in maintaining equipment related to mechanical knowledge.
- Implement safety protocols following OSHA guidelines.
- Create and enhance curriculum content for effective learning outcomes.
- Provide guidance on automotive repair techniques.

Requirements:

-· Associate Degree in the discipline OR Technical diploma AND demonstrable competencies (see examples below) equivalent to two years post-secondary education OR a minimum of four years of relevant full-time experience. (Competency can be gained through a combination of formal education, apprentice programs, work or teaching experience, professional performance in the subject area, industry-based certifications, and/or qualifications set by the licensing or accrediting organization for the subject area.)

· Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety protocols.

· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

· Strong mechanical knowledge.

· Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision.

· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to trouble shoot issues.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

· Must possess good interpersonal skills

· Understand the mission of NLTCC

· Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
