Medical Receptionist / Clinic Assistant

Position Summary:

This receptionist/assistant will be responsible for working as an integral part of a small, yet busy private Podiatric clinic. This is a part-time position (Wed/Thurs).

Duties will include:

-Answering telephone calls, appointment scheduling and processing patient payments.

-Assisting with maintaining an efficient patient flow

-Direct and indirect patient care

-Exam room preparation/ handling sharp instruments

-Light housekeeping duties

-Processing incoming faxes and making outbound calls for scheduling of all referrals

-Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

-Minimum 1 year experience in medical office setting

-Must be organized, detail oriented, possess good analytical skills, and be able to work well under pressure/ under direct instructions

-Good communication skills, both verbally and in written form

-Be able to maintain composure if faced with uncooperative people

-Be able to problem solve

-Great attendance

-Be able to work independently with minimal supervision

This position will work under the direct supervision of our Physicians and the Office Manager. A good work ethic, basic knowledge of HIPAA rules, and the ability to work as part of a small team is a must. We are looking for someone to make a long-term commitment who is able to start ASAP.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
