Position: Procedure/Triage Nurse

Location: Crystal

Duties and Responsibilities:

1.In accordance with NWFC processes work with providers and team care coordinators to refill and prescribe medications through standing orders.

2. Perform technical procedures including colonoscopies/EGD's and other nursing treatments.

3. Refill and prescribe medications through standing orders, in coordination with providers.

4. Perform nursing treatments and technical procedures including colonoscopies.

5. Offer health education, guidance, and motivational counseling to clients and their families to encourage self-care and assist in decision-making.

6. Maintains confidentiality by keeping all patient and medical information seen and heard in the strictest confidence.

7. Document clinical actions in health care record, maintain these records in compliance with the rules of confidentiality, and assist in documenting health outcome measures.

8. Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

• Current state licensure for Minnesota in nursing. (RN)
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum of three years of professional nursing experience. One year clinic experience preferred.
• Knowledge of EHR system and clinical process.
• Able to work as a team member with other triage and medical support staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized, can work independently and self motivated.
• Ability to travel between three sites locally.
