NEEA is dedicated to accelerating both electric and gas energy efficiency, leveraging its regional partnerships to advance the adoption of energy-efficient products, services and practices.

Summary

The Data Analyst is an integral part of the Data, Planning and Analysis (DPA) team at NEEA, serving as a subject matter expert in data management for a variety of program teams, connecting them to key resources, sharing best practices and supporting continuous improvement of data processes. The Data Analyst will work with cross functional teams to identify needs, scope and lead data related projects. The Data Analyst will work with contractors and internal teams to drive the collection and procurement of high quality, reliable data. The Data Analyst will help teams leverage and explore data assets through the development of tools, visualizations, and analytical data products that drive market insights and support business decisions.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,00 annually

The Typical Day May Include…

  • Leading conversations with cross-functional teams to identify data gaps, analysis, and reporting needs.
  • Advising teams on technical projects and connecting them to internal resources.
  • Conducting analysis or developing self-serve analytical tools.
  • Researching and vetting new data sources to support program needs.
  • Reviewing proposed data collection protocols, processes for a market study.
  • Managing and providing oversight over contractor data collection projects.
  • Implementing data validation and QA/QC processes to ensure integrity of datasets.
  • Developing documentation and providing support for business partners to interpret key datasets.

You Likely Have The Following:

  • Ability to multi-task and be proactive in a complex environment.
  • Experience implementing data management best practices to support, data integrity, usability and security.
  • History of leading data projects effectively using formal project management frameworks
  • Proven record of success manipulating data and conducting analysis using SQL, Python or advanced analytical tools.
  • Knowledge of building systems and technologies in the HVAC market is desirable.

Your Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in a data focused or analytical role working with cross functional teams.
  • Strong project management and communication skills
  • Experience with analytic and visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Experience with SQL/Python/R a plus
  • Experience in HVAC, energy efficiency, or resource conservation a plus.
  • An equivalent combination of education, experience and training that would provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the successful performance of the essential job duties will also be considered.
