MUSIC TEACHER (3rd - 6th)Full TimeKennesaw, GAFY 2024-2025

Northwest Classical Academy seeks a full-time Music Teacher for grades 3rd through 6th. Teachers are responsible for the education of their students. They are expected to demonstrate high moral character and have mastery of the subjects they teach. Teachers will work collaboratively to create a working and learning environment for all students that is safe, secure, and respectful. This position would report to the Lower School Principal on Northwest Classical Academy’s Kennesaw campus. This position starts July 2024. 

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Adhere to the school’s mission and the principles of classical education
  • Plan and execute lessons for music classes in third through sixth grade, guiding students to acquire skills in music and to enjoy, appreciate, and interpret music in their daily lives
  • Encourage and promote the coordination of music with other subject areas in the curriculum
  • Evaluate student performance in music, maintain grade books in Infinite Campus, and communicate proactively with parents
  • Assist the Director of Fine Arts in inventorying, organizing, ordering, and caring for music materials and equipment
  • Assist in planning, preparing, and presenting programs and festivals for the school

Qualified candidates will meet the following requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a related field from a fully accredited college is required.
  • Valid teaching certification in Georgia is preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience in classical education is preferred but not required.
  • Candidates should possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
