Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain wastewater treatment equipment and systems
- Monitor and adjust water flow and chemical dosages to ensure compliance with regulations
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment
- Collect samples and conduct tests to analyze water quality
- Record data and maintain accurate records of operations
- Troubleshoot and minor repair of equipment malfunctions
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
- Operate Belt Filter Press
- Must be able to pass a Arkansas Class 1 Wastewater Operator's License within one year and able to maintain a valid driver's license
- Attendance at work and the ability to get along with the public, supervisors, and co-workers are essential elements of this position. Other duties may be assigned.
Experience:
- Previous experience in wastewater treatment or a related field is preferred
- Basic math skills for calculations and measurements
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
- Familiarity with logic controllers and their operation
- Knowledge of plumbing systems and ability to perform basic repairs
- Understanding of water treatment processes and techniques prefered
- Mechanical knowledge of equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Experience in data collection and record keeping
This position requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of wastewater treatment processes, equipment operation, and maintenance procedures.
