Northwest ADHD Treatment Center is Hiring a New Patient Intake Coordinator Near Portland, OR
Our fast-paced mental health office is seeking a full-time Intake Coordinator based at our West Portland clinic. This position will work as a team with our current intake coordinator to staff new patients for the entire organization. This position includes the following common tasks:
- Scheduling up to 20-25 new patient intake appointments per week
- Coordinating requests and referrals for care
- Working with new patients to determine their needs
- Verifying insurance benefits
- Matching new patients with providers
- Guiding new patients through the evaluation process
- Working with staff to ensure new patients are being seen in a timely manner
Qualifications and what we are looking for:
- A warm, friendly demeanor with top-notch customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands
- Strong computer skills
- An understanding of insurance terms and benefits
- A team-focused attitude
- Flexibility and self-directedness
- Maintaining calm under pressure
- Strong communication skills
- An interest in mental health
- Familiarity with HIPAA
- Willingness to travel within metro area for occasional meetings
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or related field, 1 year minimum office support experience in a mental health or medical setting.
