A wonderful family of 4 living in Brooklyn Heights is seeking a nanny to care for their 2.5-year-old son and 1-year-old daughter. This is a live-out position, and the working schedule would be Monday through Friday, 8am-6pm. The duties will include everything related to childcare including, but not limited to, preparing healthy meals for the children, ensuring their bedrooms and playroom are clean and organized, and handling their laundry. The family have a full-time housekeeper for all other areas.

It would also be a bonus if the nanny could help with prepping dinner for the whole family a few nights each week and be proactive in helping to receive packages delivered to the home, helping to unload groceries, etc. The family would also like the ability to extend the hours one night every two weeks, this would be discussed in advance, and paid additionally.

The nanny would be caring for one, or both, of the children each day. Mom is currently home and alternates care with the children some days. The nanny should be able to care for both children if the Mom were to return to work. The children attend weekly classes and activities, but the family is open to further suggestions and recommendations.

The family sometimes travel for up to a month at a time and they would like the nanny to travel with them for a minimum of two weeks, once per year, during this time. The dates would be discussed in advance.

A candidate with a degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred (or similar qualifications) and they should have a minimum of 10 years experience working with young children. They should be able to engage with the children and help them to meet the appropriate educational milestones whilst expanding their minds and social lives and setting appropriate boundaries. The family would ideally like someone who is willing to stay and grow with the children.

It is a relaxed but busy household and the family are looking for someone who is proactive, fun, able to get down to a child's level, loving, and genuinely cares for children. The position is to start ASAP, the family are offering $35-$40 per hour, paid holidays, sick days, and benefits.
