Northwell Careers is Hiring a Development Officer (Northwell Foundation) Near Hyde Park, NY

Job Description

Provides support in the identification and management of a portfolio of active and prospective donors. Works to build and reinforce a “culture of philanthropy” throughout the organization.

Job Responsibility

  • Collaborates with gift officers to strategize and support cultivation of donors and prospects and build pipeline. 
  • Works in conjunction with Foundation team to identify and implement strategies for prospective and current donors. 
  • Collaborates with Foundation teams to identifiy and transition donors. 
  • Participates in stewardship and fundraising events. 
  • Cultivates and maintains seamless relationship management for donors, prospects and gift officers. 
  • Operates under general guidance and work assignments are varied and require interpretation and independent decisions on course of action. 
  • Performs related duties as required. All responsibilities noted here are considered essential functions of the job under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Duties not mentioned here, but considered related are not essential functions.

Job Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience, required.
  • Philanthropy experience, preferred. 
  • Development experience in a heathcare organization, preferred.
