Northstar Logix is Hiring an Attorney (Employment and Labor Law) Near Dallas, TX

We are seeking an experienced In-House Counsel specializing in Employment and Labor Law to join our legal team. As an In-House Counsel focused on employment and labor law, you will play a key role in advising and supporting our company on all legal matters related to employment, HR policies, labor relations, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert legal advice and support on employment law matters, including but not limited to hiring practices, discrimination and harassment issues, employee benefits, wage and hour compliance, termination procedures, and employee relations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, agreements, and policies to ensure legal compliance and protect the company's interests.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on employment law developments, precedents, and regulations to ensure the company's policies and practices are up to date and compliant.
  • Collaborate with HR and management teams to develop and implement effective HR policies, procedures, and training programs.
  • Represent the company in employment-related disputes, investigations, and regulatory matters, including EEOC charges, labor board proceedings, and litigation.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in employment law and provide strategic guidance to mitigate legal risks and promote a positive work environment.
  • Manage relationships with external legal counsel and consultants specializing in employment law matters.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in Employment and Labor Law.
  • 5 years of experience as a practicing attorney specializing in employment and labor law, preferably with in-house experience or representing corporate clients.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Proven track record in handling employment-related litigation, investigations, and compliance matters.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in providing proactive legal advice and risk assessments to support business objectives.
