Under minimal supervision and using clinical knowledge, the RN Utilization Review completes utilization review activities to ensure appropriateness of admission and continued stay and to reduce financial risk to the patient and hospital. Works on complex reviews. Communicates results of reviews to payers and other third parties for certification of hospitalization and subsequent payment. Acts as a clinical resource for the Coordinator Utilization Review.
Position Highlights:
Position: RN Utilization Review
Location: Must be flexible. Will work at Edward Hospital in Naperville, Elmhurst Hospital in Elmhurst and Corporate Center in Warrenville
Part time: 20 hours a week
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm Rotate weekends
What you will need:
Required Education and/or Experience:
Associate's Degree or higher in Nursing
Minimum of two years of utilization review and/or clinical experience
Required License and/or Certification:
Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
Preferred Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or health care related field
Minimum of two years of utilization review experience
