NorthShore University HealthSystem is Hiring a Mental Health Associate I-LOH Eating Disorders Near Naperville, IL

Job Description:

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Mental Health Associate I

  • Location: Naperville

  • Part Time

  • Hours Days- 7:00am-3:30pm

Provides direct patient care to patients with behavioral health disorders. Participates in treatment planning and implementation.Facilitates groups within assigned treatment programs.Documents according to department/organization procedures.Ensures the safety and well-being of these patients by maintaining a safe milieu

What you will need:

Education and/or Experience Required:

  • A Bachelor's Degree or higher in a Behavioral Health related field, no previous experience or

  • A Bachelor's Degree or higher in a non-Behavioral Health related field, a minimum of one year of behavioral health experience

  • Maintain information as highly confidential

  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and willingness to seek supervision

Education and/or Experience Preferred:

  • Familiarity with medical and psychological terminology

  • Skills in teaching or assisting with activities of daily living

  • Prior experience with therapeutic limit-setting and milieu management

Licensure and/or Certification Required:

  • A valid driver's license is required if the incumbent is selected to perform related duties at an off-site location. If the incumbent uses their personal vehicle, the incumbent must maintain automobile liability coverage as required by law and evidence of such coverage may be requested.

  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification within 90 days of hire

  • Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or Red Cross
