Job Overview:
We are a high volume independently owned multi-specialty practice seeking a Full-time Medical Secretary. Candidate must be available Monday 9-5, Tuesday and Wednesday 12-8 and Thursday-Friday 10-6. The applicant responsibilities include multi-line telephone with high call volume, appointment setting, data entry, message taking, composing emails, importing and exporting data to various sites and creating documents. The ideal candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, be able to multi-task and prioritize with superb time management skills. Attention to detail, keyboarding, and knowledge of Microsoft office and EMR experience preferred. Experience in Primary Care preferred but not required. Must beCovid-19 vaccinated .
Duties:
- Greet and assist patients in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer and direct phone calls using multi-line phone systems
- Schedule appointments and manage calendars
- Maintain patient records and confidentiality
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence
- Utilize medical software systems like eClinicalWorks, or Epic for scheduling and record-keeping
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a medical or urgent care setting is preferred
- Proficiency in using front desk operations and administrative procedures
- Knowledge of medical scheduling software is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
