Northpointe Council, Inc. have openings for FULL-TIME Counselor for our First Step Center residential Clinic in Niagara Falls, NY. Our First Step Center location who has the ability to work with candidates to create a schedule that works with an individual’s personal needs. Northpointe is seeking candidates who possess a strong foundation in client engagement, counseling, clinical evaluation, treatment planning, referral, client, family and community education, documentation, service coordination, professional and ethical responsibilities, along with a positive “can do” approach.

Job Description

Counsels individuals and families at the First Step Center location of Northpointe Council, Inc. who are experiencing current or past effects of chemical dependency problems or other addictions. Carry a case load of individuals suffering from an addiction and maintain a small caseload of individuals who suffer adverse effects of a close relationship with a person suffering from an addiction

Our mission at Northpointe Council, Inc. is to provide high-quality person-centered prevention, intervention, treatment and recovery to those affected by substance use disorders and other addictions from the Greater Niagara Area.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Service, Social Work or related field with a CASAC OR

Master’s degree in a program that will grant licensure (LMHC-P, LMHC, LMSW, LCSW) in the state of New York

License/Certification:

• LMHC-P (Preferred) or
• LMHC (Preferred) or
• LMSW (Preferred) or
• Licensed Certified Social Worker (Preferred)

Schedule: Monday to Friday Flexible Hours

Work Location: In person / One location
