Full time Addiction Counselor positions available. Northpointe is seeking candidates who possess a strong foundation in client engagement, counseling, clinical evaluation, treatment planning, referral, client, family and community education, documentation, service coordination, professional and ethical responsibilities, along with a positive “can do” approach.
Candidates must be available to work two evening shifts (11:30a - 7:30p)
Job description
Counsels individuals and families at the Outpatient Clinic/Methadone Maintenance Treatment Program of Northpointe Council, Inc. who are experiencing current or past effects of chemical dependency problems or other addictions. Carry a case load of individuals suffering from an addiction and maintain a small caseload of individuals who suffer adverse effects of a close relationship with a person suffering from an addiction
Our mission at Northpointe Council, Inc. is to provide high-quality person-centered prevention, intervention, treatment and recovery to those affected by substance use disorders and other addictions from the Greater Niagara Area.
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Service, Social Work or related field with a CASAC OR
Master’s degree in a program that will grant licensure (LMHC-P, LMHC, LMSW, LCSW) in the state of New York
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Work Location: In-person / One location
Position Hours: Our outpatient clinics offer evening hours Monday – Thursday, candidates will be asked to work at least 2 evenings per week (11:30-730pm). All Clinicians work 9:00 am – 2:00pm every Friday!
