Job Summary:

The Shipping and Receiving Manager will oversee the daily operations of the shipping and receiving department. Accountable for managing day-to-day operations to maximize production while maintaining a safe workplace, reducing costs, improving quality while meeting customer requirements, and ensuring positive employee relations.

What You’ll Do:

• Oversees the daily workflow, schedules, and assignments of clerks and coordinators.
• Lead the team in coordinating all inbound and outbound shipments while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company procedures and industry regulations.
• Plan and delegate daily work assignments and deadlines.
• Train employees and provide continuous feedback to ensure employees are successful and productive.
• Lead by coaching and counseling to foster professional growth and development of employees.
• Coordinate inbound/outbound shipping schedule with customer and warehouse operations.
• Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
• Leads continuous improvement activities supporting warehouse operations.
• Attends and participates in regularly scheduled and impromptu meetings.
• Work cross-functionally with other teams to continuously improve efficiency.
• Effectively communicate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop, recommend, and implement process and procedure improvements.
• Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Warehouse experience preferred.
• Must have Shipping & Receiving experience.
• Must have warehouse experience.
• At least 2 years supervisory experience required.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to monitor and maintain records and inventory.
