Northland Properties is Hiring a Site Superintendent Grouse Mtn Near Vancouver, WA

Reporting directly to the Director of Special Projects, the Site Superintendent will take the lead on all on-site activities, ensuring the completion of each project on time and within budget with high-quality standards. This role requires collaboration with Subtrades and the Grouse Mountain operation team, working shoulder to shoulder with other Northland Construction sites, and actively engaging with the in-house procurement, operations, construction, and design divisions.Your key duties will include:Project Scheduling:Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly construction schedules within labor budget parameters to achieve project completion timelines.Leadership:Supervise, coordinate, and schedule day-to-day activities of subtrades and Northland crews.Accomplish construction human resource objectives by hiring, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees as required.Enforce best building practices with a hands-on tools approach.Lead, teach, and mentor crews to achieve high excellence in performance and quality.Manage crews and subcontractors by locating, evaluating, selecting, monitoring, and controlling performance.Operational and Quality Standards:Contribute construction information to strategic plans and reviews.Implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.Resolve problems and identify construction management system improvements.Achieve construction quality standards by conducting daily inspections and taking corrective action as required.Budget Management:Monitor project expenditures for weekly labor, equipment, and materials.Identify variances and implement corrective actions.Project Results:Achieve project results by calculating resources required, establishing standards and protocols, allocating resources, scheduling and coordinating staff and subcontractors.Evaluate milestone assumptions and conclusions, resolve design problems, and evaluate/implement change orders.Safety and Compliance:Prevent fines and interruptions by complying with, and enforcing, local building codes.Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations.Organization Enhancement:Resolve work challenges and recommend measures to improve productivity and quality.Enhance the organization's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.Explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.Support the growth and development of company culture and professionally represent Northland Properties. What are we looking for?5 years experience in related construction or renovations.Knowledge in concrete work & formingPositive attitude, team orientated, willing to encourage co-workers, and act as an ambassador for our companies.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to identify and set priorities with exercise flexibility where necessary.High ability to problem solves and create cost-effective solutions to challenges.Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documentation.Understanding all safety procedures, recognizing hazards, and proactively eliminating risk to employees and the site.Knowledgeable in all trade activities.Competent in Office 365, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.Valid driver's license. What do you get?Extended family Health care, including vision, dental, and Group Life InsuranceYearly bonus opportunities.Retirement Saving Plan (RRSP) after a year of employment.Employee discounts across the Northland-owned hotels and resorts.25% discount at selected restaurants for up to 6 peopleHumanaCare free mental health support & counsellingContribute to a unique construction model focused on teamwork and cooperationBe a valued member of a team in an organization with unparalleled opportunitiesCollaborative, friendly working environment with a fun and inclusive culture *** We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those applicants we wish to interview will receive a reply to their application. *** You must be legally entitled to work in Canada to apply as the employer does not have a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) that would support a foreign worker.
