For applicants interested in working in Minnesota, Northland Counseling Center’s International Falls office is located within Koochiching County, on the border with Canada. This is a community where many of us are able to leave our homes and cars unlocked, where housing and taxes are very inexpensive, and where there is access to such natural beauty as the massive Rainy Lake system and Voyageurs National Park, minutes from our doorstep. We are only a 3 hr. drive to Duluth, 4 hr. drive to Winnipeg and 5 hr. to Minneapolis/St. Paul. This is an area affording escape from urban hustle and bustle and the opportunity to enjoy year around outdoor activities, such as canoeing, kayaking, cross-country skiing, hiking, biking, snowmobiling, boating, fishing, and hunting. The community has a healthy population of artists, authors, poets, and musicians. Cultural opportunities in the International Falls, MN and Fort Frances communities include The Rainy Lake Orchestra concerts, the annual subscription Border Concert Series, Rainy River Community College, local dance school, a strong Community Education Program, local theater programs for adults and children, along with a number of local festivals and more!
Northland Counseling Center’s International Falls office is a Rule 29 Community Mental Health center that provides employees a friendly and collegial atmosphere in which to work, including interdisciplinary consultation for clinical staff. In addition to competitive salaries, available are paid holidays, Paid Days Off, Health, Dental, Vision, and Disability Insurance benefits, and Retirement Plan.
