Nestled in a wooded retreat on the north side of Lake Pontchartrain, we are just east of the causeway and 45 minutes from New Orleans. We provide long and short-term behavioral health care to adults and adolescents, and acute detox and substance abuse care.

While you won’t be leaping tall buildings in a single bound, during the course of a day, you can expect to:
Be responsible for the care and well-being of the residents in your charge, and direct, train, and mentor the staff on your team (LPN and MHT)
Assess the residents’ needs and assist in developing and following individual care plans
Assure quality care is delivered through the utilization of nursing processes and guidelines
Identify and communicate changes in residents’ status to physicians, staff, and family members
Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges of residents
Communicate appropriate information to all staff to provide a smooth shift transition
Investigate and document incidents and accidents as required
Report any suspected abuse to the appropriate authority
Push/pull 30 pounds of force required
Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS, BENEFITS, AND COMPENSATION
First and foremost, you have to love what you do. We are in the business of taking care of people, and when we say, “bring your loved one to us, we’ll take care of them,” we mean it. To be successful, you will need:
An unencumbered RN or LPN LA or Compact State license
A current CPR certificate
Ideally, one year of experience in Behavioral Health nursing
A sense of humor
