Job description

Position Description:

The marketing specialist will have a focus on being in the community providing outreach and engagement regarding Substance Use Disorder programs. The position is focused on developing and building customer relationships, identifying opportunities and potential growth areas for all things substance use disorder and recovery. They will help enhance and increase awareness of the programs and services offered. This position will participate and engage in community activities such as building relationships with community partners, presenting at meetings and events, coordinating outreach activities for the clinic, maintaining open communication for sharing of information about programming related to substance use recovery. Travel is required.

Job Description:

· Identify and conduct in-person and online outreach to priority populations with substance use disorder (SUD)

· Develop and maintain relationships with providers and community members engaged in all levels and methods of SUD programming

· Cultivate existing and establish new strategic partnerships within the community to promote the SUD programming

· Develop appropriate content for presentations and promotional materials for use with a variety of audiences.

· Identify, coordinate, and participate in virtual or in-person meetings, gatherings, and events (conferences, meetings and gatherings with service providers, task force meetings, health fairs, and/or other networking opportunities, etc.) to build relationships and market the SUD program.

· Communicate regularly with SUD team sharing outreach connections and learnings.

· Contribute to the content development and implementation of the SUD program, marketing campaigns including print materials, video development, websites, and more.

· Continue to build and develop knowledge and expertise in substance use disorders, recovery pathways, harm reduction approaches, etc. particularly with the lens of health and racial equity.

· Consistently attend and actively participate in meetings and other activities to develop skills and make suggestions for project enhancements.

Qualifications/Skills:

· Sales experience required

· Bachelor’s degree in business marketing, BSW, or CADC is preferred

· Lived-experience in recovery of substance use disorder preferred.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills

· Skilled and comfortable with public speaking, sales and recruitment

This is a Full-time position with very competitive salary and benefits.
