Northgate Early Learning Center is Hiring a PreK/Preschool Assistant Teacher Near Seattle, WA

Full-Time PreK/Preschool Assistant Teacher!

Northgate Early Learning Center (NELC) Seattle serves children between the ages of 3 months to 5 years of age. We are a Christian school raising children as world leaders in the love of God. It is the mission of NELC Seattle to provide families with children with quality education, instilling Christian values, and providing a safe, encouraging, and fun environment in which to grow.

Full-Time PreK/Preschool Teacher

We are looking for passionate early learning professionals whose joy is being with children.

Northgate Early Learning Center believes that children are the greatest investment for the greatest future. Teachers at NELC not only love children but also teach and impart values of who they are to develop in them a healthy and secure identity with high self-esteem and self-confidence in the Truth and the Love of Jesus Christ.

Teachers are responsible to (but are not limited to)

· Create a warm, caring, loving, and safe environment

· Love children and develop relationships with children by interacting with them

· Support the Lead teacher to create and implementing weekly lesson plans with fun age-appropriate learning activities

· Support the Lead teacher to manage the class and lead activities

· Communicate with the families daily via Brightwheel and in-person along with the Lead teacher

· Maintain an organized, clean, and safe classroom, meeting WAC and Health District requirements

· Have a growth mindset and invest in themselves for continuing education and develop necessary skills

· Be able to do bible stories and pray for children

· Make every effort to create and develop unity among other teachers and the leadership

· Actively and respectfully communicate with other teachers, parents, and the management team

· Take ownership of job duties and tasks

. Take effort to make team unity participate in school events

We highly expect Godly Characters in teachers such as a growth mindset, teachable heart, humility, putting others first, and making peace with others.

Requirements:

·18 and older
·Experienced in Early Learning/Child care center setting (at least 1 year)
·Provide proof of U.S. citizenship or right to work

Have ECE education (Preferred) or plan to have ECE education
Able to lift children safely (20-40 lbs)
Able to bend
Great adaptability
Must be able to teach Christian values
Be able to pass/provide Portable Background Check, CPR, First Aid, Bloodborne pathogens Training, Food handlers card, proof of negative TB test, Child care basic

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
