Northfield Hospital & Clinics is Hiring a Purchasing/Inventory Specialist Near Northfield, MN

Position Summary
This position is responsible for researching and analyzing product needs, inputting accurate product information in the central supply database as well as receiving and stocking products for various departments throughout the organization.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Monitors department storerooms and CSR, maintaining PAR levels and restocking using data.
  • Works with buyers to ensure products are ordered to fill CSR and department needs. 
  • Enters all movement of product in the Supply Chain information system daily.
  • Ensures departments have adequate supplies by communicating and problem-solving with end users regarding their products, orders, and changes in supply.
  • Manages back orders and substitutions by communicating with buyers and department leaders.
  • Manages all shipping processes and receives shipments accurately.
  • Understand and manage warehouse operations and inventory, which includes shipping, receiving, storing, and issuing materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Works with buyers on projects that improve supply chain processes and workflow.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Analyze Data
  • Ability to effectively multitask, prioritize and stay organized
  • Basic math skills
  • Basic Microsoft office skills with using Excel and Word
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent walking and standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year or more of supply chain or warehousing experience
  • One year or more hospital experience
