Job Summary: The Cold Storage Specialist is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the

organization’s external cold storage operations. This role includes managing inventory levels,

coordinating order fulfillment, and serving as the principal point of contact between the company and

external cold storage facilities. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient operation of cold storage

logistics, maintain accurate inventory records, and ensure timely delivery of products.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

· Oversee the management of all external cold storage activities, ensuring efficient and cost-effective storage solutions.

· Print pick tickets to accurately identify new and changed sales orders, ensuring proper allocation of products.

· Allocate specific lots to all orders, managing inventory levels to meet sales and distribution demands.

· Handle pricing exceptions at the order level, ensuring accuracy and customer satisfaction.

· Send releases to external cold storages and monitor pickups to ensure timely and efficient order fulfillment.

· Print Bills of Lading (BOLs) and invoice orders for all products stored in external cold storage facilities.

· Act as the principal liaison with all external cold storage providers, resolving any issues, handling requests, or addressing discrepancies promptly and effectively.

· Gather End-of-Month (EOM) inventories from all external cold storages and verify accuracy against the ERP system, ensuring inventory integrity.

· Monitor inventory levels across all external cold storage locations, alerting management to replenish products as needed.

· Develop and maintain strong relationships with external cold storage vendors to improve service levels and resolve operational issues.

· Assist in inventory control activities.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Implement and maintain inventory management best practices to optimize cold storage utilization.

· Conduct periodic audits of external cold storage facilities to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

· Collaborate with the logistics and supply chain teams to optimize transportation and distribution strategies.

· Provide regular reports on cold storage operations, inventory levels, and order status to management.

· Strong organizational and time management skills.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

· At least two years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, with specific experience in cold storage or refrigerated warehousing.

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
