TITLE: FARO - CMM Programmer/Operator
LEVEL/DIVISION: Quality
REPORTING TO: Quality Manager
SUMMARY:
Evaluation as directed by the Quality Manager of the quality processes and procedures. Work as directed on improvement and quality control projects, and such other duties as directed by the Quality Manager. Responsible for the implementation and execution of the Quality System within the Laboratory, and ensure that service and support personnel are trained and qualified to perform their assigned duties.
MAJOR FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Program and operate Faro CMM using Polyworks Software
· Review GD&T requirements on all new parts and existing parts undergoing engineering changes.
· Review the design of all component and assembly inspection fixtures. Part of approval process.
· Performs all dimensional layouts and capability studies for all Production Part Approval Process submissions.
· Calibration at required frequencies of inspection fixtures, once fixtures (attribute/variable) are approved, and recertification.
· Calibration and qualification of all measuring equipment, and recertification.
· Repair/maintain measuring equipment.
· Operate software to manage calibration requirements.
· Build replacement supplementary gauging (i.e., locating pins, step gauges etc.)
· Perform Gauge Repeatability & Reproducibility (R&R) Studies
· Assist in floor/process audits.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRMENTS:
Required:
· General Education with verifiable CMM Programming Trade School with a minimum of 1 year work experience
· Demonstrated use of inspection devices, including micrometers, calipers, gauges, torque wrenches
· High level of problem solving capabilities including complex issues. Extensive experience in auditing processes and procedures
· Well-developed oral and written communication skills to include a high level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others at all levels of the organization
· Knowledge of product and manufacturing processes, preferably in the automotive industry.
· Demonstrated technical and professional skills in job-related area required, including the ability to read and interpret blueprints and product specifications
· Working knowledge and proficiency in the use of computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, some knowledge of quality software
Preferred:
· Internal and external supplier quality experience
· Knowledge of TS16949 Quality Management System
· Corrective Action knowledge (8D, DDW, PDCA, etc.)
· Experience with PFMEAs and PCPs
· PPAP planning and execution experience
· Working knowledge of APQP, PPAP requirements
· Blueprint reading/GD&T
· Use of Inspection Devices, including Micrometers, Calipers, Gauges, Torque Wrenches
· Welding ( MIG, Resistance, Projection) experience and knowledge
· Valid drivers’ license is required.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
