Northern Ophthalmic Associates is Hiring an Ophthalmic Technician Near Jenkintown, PA

Job Overview:
New management team at Northern Ophthalmic Associates is seeking dedicated Ophthalmic Technicians to join our team!

As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in assisting our ophthalmologists & optometrist in providing high-quality eye care to our patients.

Responsibilities:
- Perform patient work ups including visual acuity, lensometry, tonometry, etc.
- Administer diagnostic tests such as visual field testing, OCT, Fundus Photo, etc.

- Collect and document patient medical history and current medications
- Prepare patients for examinations.
- Provide patient education on contact lens care, eye health, and post-operative care.
- Assist with front desk duties such as scheduling appointments and verifying insurance coverage.

Experience:
- Previous experience as an Ophthalmic Technician or similar role preferred.
- Knowledge of medical billing processes and insurance coding is a plus!
- Familiarity with optical equipment and instruments used in eye examinations.
- Proficient in using electronic medical record systems.
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
