Ensures that services are of the best quality, are cost efficient, and are carried out in an expeditious manner. Recognizes test results or operational problems that require referral to the clinical laboratory pathologist. Maintains performance improvement activities within the department. Helps formulate budget. Complies with all regulatory standards. Maintains effective physician and intradepartmental relations.
