Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Childcare Provider to join our team. As a Childcare Provider, you will play a crucial role in nurturing and caring for children in a safe and supportive environment. This is a paid position that requires a strong understanding of childhood development and a passion for working with children.
Responsibilities:
- Create a stimulating and engaging environment for children to learn and grow
- Develop and implement age-appropriate educational activities and lesson plans
- Provide attentive care to infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, diapering, and other daily routines
- Supervise indoor and outdoor playtime to promote physical activity
- Administer basic first aid when necessary
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and practices
- Previous experience working with children in a classroom or childcare setting
- Ability to provide age-appropriate care for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children
- Proficiency in basic first aid techniques
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues
- Patience, compassion, and the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism
- Knowledge of early childhood education techniques is preferred but not required
