Summary :

The Prospect Research Analyst will drive the prospect development research process for Northern Light Health Foundation and works closely with the Prospect Research Manager, Database Administrator, and philanthropy team to support fundraiser performance through data management, research, strategic insights, and data-centric approaches to portfolio management. This role will facilitate a moves management system that drives discovery, cultivation, and solicitation strategies for donors and prospects while utilizing best practices and growing the donor pipeline. This position serves as a champion for a “data-driven” culture and provides the vision for developing and implementing information and technology strategies and initiatives.

Responsibilities :

  • Ability to research, compile, and analyze detailed financial, biographical, and other publicly available information on individual prospective donors to inform fundraiser strategy; participates in projects to identify new prospects for Northern Light Health and it’s Member Organizations.
  • Acts as data auditor for prospect management and pipeline data in the fundraising database (RE/NXT), diagnosing data integrity and quality issues and implementing solutions. Adhering to and providing input on process improvements for our prospect management guidelines/policies.
  • Works with the philanthropy team to grow the annual giving program through data analysis of constituents in the database and pool of prospective patient donors as part of growing a grateful patient program.
  • In collaboration with the Prospect Research Manager, leads an efficient and effective moves management process (identification stage to solicitation) for front-end fundraising professionals; conducts regular portfolio reviews and prospect assignments. This includes helping move the prospects through the donor continuum, providing key information, updating opportunities, and ensuring that fundraising initiatives have sufficient prospects to meet fundraising goals.
  • Participates in principal and major gift committee meetings as needed to review fundraising performance analytics, identify new prospects, and support prospect strategies.
  • Provides a comprehensive analysis of pipeline and portfolio activity to ensure proper pipeline and portfolio management. Monitor a variety of sources, including relevant websites, government documents, newspapers, periodicals, screening data, and leads from development officers to identify new prospective donors.
  • Provides regular reporting on metrics, portfolio baselines, and pipeline management practices for philanthropy officers and Foundation leadership.
  • Works with gift processing department to ensure gifts are properly credited to opportunities and solicitors and that the data consistently maintained.
  • Works with the Fundraising Database Administrator on updating donor database constituent records regularly with information obtained through research and wealth screenings and ensuring accuracy of constituent records (i.e. duplicate records, improper data entry)
  • Stay current with continued, professional education in prospect management related fields, best practices, and upholding the highest professional standards.
