Northern Light Health is Hiring an Environmental Service Tech I Near Waterville, ME

Northern Light Inland Hospital

Department: Environmental Services

Position is located: Inland Hospital

Work Type: Part Time Eligible

Hours Per Week: 24.00

Work Schedule: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Summary :

Cleans and services assigned building areas; moves furniture, equipment, hospital waste, and supplies in and around assigned areas. Works to ensure that the Hospital is clean and safe for patients, visitors and other employees.

Responsibilities :

  • Dustmops, mops, buffs, strips, and waxes floors. Runs buffers, wet vacuums, and automatic floor scrubber
  • Vacuums and shampoos carpets and upholstery. Runs vacuums and carpet Extractor and spotter.
  • Washes walls, windows, light fixtures, and vents., as assigned
  • Must be able to work with germicidal and other cleaning detergents.
  • Changes cubicle and window curtains, as needed
  • Moves furniture as required.
  • Gathers trash and dirty linens, as needed or assigned
  • Sets up Conference Rooms for meetings, as needed
  • Must be able and willing to clean isolation rooms according to established guidelines, as needed
  • Must be able to follow established safety methods and procedures as outlined in organizational and department policies.
  • Must possess knowledge of cleaning techniques for each type of floor surface.
  • Must possess the ability to work independently and maintain productivity.
