Job purpose

The Truck Washer will wash and clean trucks, vehicles, trailers, and equipment using pressure washers, cleaning agents, cloths, hoses, and scrub brushes.

Duties and responsibilities

• Washes the exterior of trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment
• Inspect for areas that may need repair while washing
• Report all damages to equipment to the appropriate personnel
• Use cleaning agents, pressure washers, and cleaning equipment following company safety policies and procedures
• All other duties as assigned, delegated, or necessary for operations

Qualifications

• Truck washing experience a plus
• Ability to pass a pre-employment urine drug test and comply with drug and alcohol policies during employment

Working conditions

• Indoor/outdoor environment subject to changing conditions and temperatures
• Occasional exposures to fumes, dust, odors, heights, and loud noises
• May be required to work 50 hours, 6 days a week

Physical requirements

• Verbal, auditory, and written capabilities to effectively communicate in an articulate manner
• Clarity of vision at varying distances to perform various work assignments
• Standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods of time
• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a variety of specialized tools and equipment
• Reaching overhead, above the shoulders, and horizontally
• Occasional bending, kneeling, or crouching
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling object(s) weighing up to 50 pounds
