Summary

We are currently seeking a full-time Construction Foreman to join our team at Northern Closure Construction, LLC. Our ideal candidate will be someone who is seeking a long-term opportunity and is eager to grow with the company. The Construction Foreman will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating construction projects from inception to completion. This position requires an experienced individual with a strong background in construction management, exceptional leadership skills, and a comprehensive understanding of construction processes and safety regulations. Essential Duties

Supervise and coordinate construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents focusing on precision and quality
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders
  • Manage job sites to ensure quality control and adherence to safety regulations
  • Collaboratively work with subcontractors
  • Manage and train construction crew members, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Oversee the procurement of materials, equipment, and supplies as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of project expenses, labor costs, and materials used
  • Implement, practice and enforce OSHA regulations and safety policies and procedures at all times
  • Ensure the ongoing cleanliness of all job sites meets expectations
  • Lead with a hands-on approach, and perform project construction tasks as needed
  • Participate in meetings as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Education

  • Requires the ability to read, write, speak and understand English; additional languages are a plus!
  • Requires valid Driver’s License
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Proven experience in Site Supervision or similar (3 years preferred)
  • Basic carpentry experience required
  • In-depth knowledge of construction management processes, procedures and best practices required
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and construction documents necessary
  • Working knowledge of build codes and safety codes
  • Solid understanding of quality control principles in the construction industry
  • Use of personal vehicle required daily to travel between job sites. Must have ability to load and unload materials of at least 8ft in length (monthly vehicle stipend available)
  • Must be able to pass a background check

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Must be able to stand for up to 10 hours per day
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, lifting, bending and repetitive motions
  • Tasks may vary from day to day and from task to task
  • Must be able to travel to and from job sites regularly
  • May be subject to noise, vibration, fumes, odor, dust, and gasses
  • May be subject to hazards related to working with heavy equipment, electricity, chemicals, and heights

We provide start to finish construction management services across all aspects of our projects for our customers, and we specialize in; commercial, residential, and corporate construction services for Androscoggin County and parts of Central & Southern Maine.
