Job Description
Northeastern State University invites applications for a part-time Speech-Language Pathology faculty position in the Gregg Wadley College of Science and Health Professions. The successful applicant will supervise graduate students at clinical practicum sites day and/or evening. Must be knowledgeable in the evaluation and treatment of speech-language and hearing disorders. Must hold current national certification (CCC-SLP) and state licensure.
While this position will be based on the Muskogee campus, clinical supervision responsibilities may extend to remote areas of Eastern Oklahoma or to the communities of Tahlequah, Muskogee, and/or Broken Arrow and the surrounding metropolitan area.
This is a part-time temporary position, with annual renewal based on the successful applicant’s job performance and current funding.
Responsibilities
Specific duties will include the following:
Supervise graduate students in a variety of practice settings including schools, hospitals, clinics, long term care facilities, etc. Locations may include remote areas of Eastern Oklahoma or service to the communities of Tahlequah, Muskogee, and / or Broken Arrow and the surrounding metropolitan area.
Assist students in therapeutic planning, reviewing and approving weekly lesson plans, performance evaluations, and reports.
Experience
Must have the following:
Hold ASHA certification (CCC-A or CCC-SLP),
Have completed a minimum of nine months of practice experience post-certification,
Have earned at least two hours of professional development post-certification (one-time requirement) in the area of supervision and/or clinical instruction.
Education Requirements
A minimum of Master’s degree required
CCC-SLP and Oklahoma State License required.
Non-Tenure Track
Salary: $3,990.00 per school supervised
