Northeast Window, Inc. is looking to hire an experienced Foreman/Supervisor to our team!

Job Summary: As a Supervisor at an exterior remodeling company, you will play a critical role in supervising and coordinating the activities of construction crews engaged in various exterior remodeling projects. Your primary responsibilities include overseeing the work of skilled tradespeople, ensuring project timelines are met, and maintaining high-quality standards to deliver outstanding results for clients. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and construction expertise. This is a fast pasted environment in which one must have the correct mental and physical capacity to keep up the crews/staff. Bilingual is a bonus, however not required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management:
  • Collaborate with the project manager to plan and schedule exterior remodeling projects.
  • Ensure all necessary materials, tools, and equipment are available and on-site as needed. Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Crew Supervision:
  • Lead and motivate a team of skilled tradespeople, including carpenters, roofers and laborers.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to crew members based on their skills and experience. Provide on-the-job training and guidance to team members to ensure work is performed safely and efficiently.
  • Quality Control:
  • Inspect work regularly to ensure it meets company and industry standards for quality and safety.
  • Address any deficiencies or deviations from project plans promptly and effectively. Implement quality control measures to prevent rework and maintain client satisfaction.
  • Safety Compliance:
  • Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and proper safety procedures.
  • Conduct safety meetings and training sessions to promote a safe work environment. Investigate and report any accidents or safety violations.
  • Communication:
  • Maintain open and clear communication with the project manager, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Report project updates, challenges, and achievements regularly. Act as a point of contact for clients to address questions or concerns.
  • Documentation:
  • Keep accurate records of daily activities, including work progress, materials used, and crew hours.
  • Complete project-related paperwork, such as change orders and timecards, in a timely manner.
  • Problem Solving:
  • Identify potential issues or obstacles and work proactively to find solutions.
  • Make quick and informed decisions to minimize project delays and maintain productivity.
  • Budget Management:
  • Monitor project expenses to ensure they stay within budgetary constraints.
  • Report any budget discrepancies to the project manager for appropriate action.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (a degree in construction management or a related field is a plus).
  • Several years of experience in the exterior remodeling or construction industry.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and construction plans.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and OSHA guidelines.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Physical demands associated with this position include extensive walking, lifting, bending over & carrying heavy weighted materials (up to 50 lbs).
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Knowledge of relevant tools and equipment.
