BACKGROUND

NorthBay Education is a non-profit organization providing large-scale, innovative education programs to public

school students. Headquartered in North East Maryland, NorthBay is the largest program of its kind, serving middle

school students from Maryland and surrounding states with the goal of transforming lives and inspiring action by

fundamentally changing the way students experience and engage in education.

NorthBay is seeking a full time school-year Facilities Attendant to ensure the overnight safety and wellbeing of

students, guests and staff while on campus and the security of NorthBay property.

NorthBay is looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent communication and time-management skills.

The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter who can work independently and effectively within a team.

The candidate must be able to convey a sense of hospitality and concern as she/he relates to students, guests and

staff, providing encouragement and comfort to all constituents.

This is a full-time hourly school-year position, Monday- Thursday, 10pm – 8am, 10 months of the

year (August 15, 2022 – June 9, 2023)

Hourly rate of pay is $19.00.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.

1. Nightly lockdown of campus buildings and facilities, ensuring every door is properly closed and
locked.

2. Conduct regular rounds of campus. (a minimum of twice per hour for lower campus and once an
hours for upper campus)

3. Hourly Check-ins with overnight awake nurse
4. Primary point of contact (POC) for Security Gate Cell Phone; will respond timely and

appropriately to entry/exit requests.

5. Report and document any issues daily
6. Report to Director of Operations at end of shift
7. Maintenance/Housekeeping support duties as requested by Director of Operations
8. Daily opening of Public buildings
9. Respond to overnight lockouts

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

A High School Diploma with strong character references and clean background check.

Excellent oral and written communication skills

REASONING SKILLS:

Ability to understand complex operational processes and provide guidance to teams working to improve

those processes.

COMPUTER/TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Knowledge of Office Suite - Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point.
