At NorthBay Health the Certified Phlebotomy Technician I works under the supervision of the Laboratory Director, Laboratory Supervisor, CPT Supervisor, the Lead Certified Phlebotomy Technician and Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
In addition to phlebotomy, the Certified Phlebotomist also facilitates the flow of information into and out of the lab by interacting with the public, using computer systems, delivering reports, answering phones and e-mail.
Education :
High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Licensure / Certification :
A Certified Phlebotomy Technician I (CPT I) certificate or higher Phlebotomy (CPA) or Laboratory license (MLT / CLS) issued by the state of California.
