Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities by performing maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can proactively address maintenance issues to minimize downtime and ensure the highest standards of safety and quality.

Essential Job Functions:

Routine Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and maintenance tasks on equipment, machinery, and systems to ensure optimal functionality and safety.

Repairs: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues promptly to minimize production disruptions and maintain a safe working environment.

Troubleshooting: Identify the root causes of equipment malfunctions and implement effective solutions to prevent future breakdowns.

Preventative Maintenance: Develop and execute preventative maintenance schedules to extend the lifespan of equipment and reduce maintenance costs.

Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment status.

Safety Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies, including the proper handling of hazardous materials.

Emergency Response: Respond to maintenance emergencies, such as equipment failures, leaks, or power outages, in a timely and efficient manner.

Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory levels of spare parts and equipment to support maintenance operations.

Communication: Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance efforts and provide clear communication regarding maintenance needs and updates.

• Mechanical Aptitude: Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including the ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery.

Qualifications, Training, and Experience:

• Must be able to read and understand written and verbal instructions.
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
• Proficiency in using maintenance tools and equipment.
• Ability to work independently and on a team.
• Flexibility to work non-standard hours when needed, including weekends and holidays.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
