Qualifications:
- Pass DOJ Background Check
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Certified Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse in California
- Current CDL with 3 Year Driving History
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- 1-2 years of nursing experience (preferred)
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Strong writing skills
- Knowledge of infection control practices, occupational hazards, and safety rules
- Must be patient, kind, empathetic and compassionate
Contracted Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follows safety procedures, policies, and guidelines of NVS.
- Provides staff training, support, and supervision in the areas of medication administration, Restricted Health Care Plans (e.g. Stoma, Oxygen, Epi-pen, Nebulizer, colostomy, etc.
- Collaborates with partner Healthcare Professionals to develop Restricted Healthcare Plans, as needed.
- Completes minimum continuing education requirements annually to maintain LVN license in California.
- Reviews, plans, and coordinates client’s individualized care in collaboration with partner Healthcare Professionals and Interdisciplinary Team.
- Interview clients and document medical history and physical condition.
- Administers and assists with medications.
- Provides wound care as needed.
- Prepares and administers injections and/or enemas as needed.
- Monitors medications and reviews medication logs
- Ensures quality and regulatory compliance.
- Communicates with partner Healthcare Professionals, outside agencies, and NVS programs as needed.
- Demonstrates and maintains a positive and professional attitude and demeanor.
- Additional duties as assigned.
