Receptionist

The primary purpose of this position is to assume switchboard/phone system responsibilites, greet residents, families, vistior, volunteers, auxiliary and staff. Monitors lobby entrance and completes general office responsibilites while ensuring a safe environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintains clean work area by keeping reception area neat and orderly.
• Acknowledges visitor who enters and exit the facility.
• Ask vistors to sign facility Visitor Log.
• Directs vistors, ect to area in facility.
• Monitors residents who are outside front entrance of facility.
• Assures wandering residents do not leave facility unattended.
• Assures lobby area is clear and orderly, presentable at all times
• Takes resident payments and forwards to Business Office.
• Takes meal order for family and visitors, and notifies Food Service Department. Delivers meal money to Business Office Director on a timely basis.
• Contact copier company when front office copier is in need of repair.
• Responsible for evening/weekend recepitionist work agenda.
• Produces reports, letters or list at the direction of Business Office Director.

Education and Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited high school or GED preferred.
• Computer knowledge required.
• Must be in good physical amd mental health.
• Ability to work independenlty or part of group.
• A physical examination and/or evidence from a physical indicating freedom of communicale disease to be available upon emploment.
• Artistic background or previous instruction from a certified activity consultant.
