Job description

Store Leader Responsibilities & Expectations

1. People

a) Recruiting- SL #1 Responsibility to review all internal and external online resumes-applications every week.

b) Phone Interviews and Live Interviews- SL to hold weekly interviews (SL will have assistant, HC present for development in each stage of recruiting & interview process).

c) Talent Directory- SL will dedicate 3 hours a week to keep TD updated and current with individual development progress and the engagement process of future managers. (SL will have assistant present for coaching development)

d) Accountability, Coaching & Discipline- SL will be responsible for addressing all issues that arise in a timely matter.

e) Succession Planning- SL responsible for the development of future managers and SL’s forecasting future needs before happening. (next man up mentality. Store/dept operation does not miss a beat)

f) Department Manager Period Financial Reviews- SL will schedule & conduct period reviews with each department manager to identify and react to any shortfalls to budget.

g) Department Manager Annual Performance Reviews- SL will schedule and conduct a full performance review of the department manager’s responsibilities and expectations.

h) Non-Management Annual Performance Reviews- SL will be responsible for scheduling and conducting 60 day and annual performance reviews of all non-management team members.

i) HR Compliance- SL is responsible for all HR compliance issues including but not limited to work comp claims, harassment claims, medical leave etc…

j) Store Atmosphere- SL is responsible for creating a great place to work through consistent accountability, engagement, recognition and appreciation.

2. Operations

a) Vision- SL is responsible for the education and continual communication with each vision item to ensure Vision success within your store. This includes 100% execution of all Vision related programs... OOD Module, CAO procedures, etc….

b) V1- SL responsible for ensuring all team members are focused and executing World Famous Friendly everyday to every customer.

c) V2- SL responsible for ensuring CleanliEST conditions in all departments, back room organization and total store both interior and exterior.

d) V3- SL responsible for ensuring FreshEST products are offered for sales to our customers in all departments 7 days a week!

e) V4- SL responsible for ensuring FewEST Out Of Stocks as possible by overseeing execution of SOP’s for Daily Production, Closing and Freight Crew Teams. Also ensure shelf maintenance, correct CAO and inventory maintenance procedures are being followed 100%.

f) V5- HSL responsible for ensuring all team members are growing their knowledge with products we sell and ensure proper customer communication is being practiced. SML responsible for being Price Competitive with merchandising and correct signage with updated SMTS signs.

g) Safety- SL responsible for creating and maintaining a safe working environment for all team members and customers.

h) Policies & Procedures- SL responsible for implementation and execution of all policies, procedures and compliance.

i) Technology- SL will make efforts to learn, use and teach tools and programs available to assist in achieving optimum results. Salient, Dayforce, GP tracking, Word, Excel, etc…

j) Communication- SL will openly communicate concerns with all appropriate office staff regarding anything pertaining to their store.

3. P&L Results- SL is accountable for every line on their stores Profit Loss Statement with the result of exceeding the net profit verses budget.

a. SL responsible for every departments exceeding contribution.

b. SL responsible for having action plans implemented to exceed budget on all controllable expenses.
