Job Summary:
Under general supervision, the CT Technologist will perform CT and X-Ray exams and interventional procedures in accordance with accepted standards of practice and protocols of the individual site radiologist. Additional responsibilities include providing procedure-related patient care and education, maintaining records and documentation of procedures, and ensuring the safety and comfort of all patients, operators, staff and visitors. This position will require someone who can work effectively independently, as well as part of a team.

Requirements:Required Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Successful completion of a certified radiology technologist program required.
Current Washington State Radiologic Technologist certification required.
Current ARRT certification, with advanced certification in CT required.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider BLS required.
Minimum 2-year CT clinical experience preferred.
Recent X-Ray imaging experience preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Detailed knowledge of current CT scanning and X-Ray procedures.
Working knowledge of current CT and X-Ray protocols.
Proficient in:
PACS;
Microsoft Office Suite applications;
Accessing and navigating company intranet for forms, policies and procedures;
Accessing and entering data on organization-wide software;
And accessing and using internet resources when required in order to perform job duties.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to communicate findings to reading radiologist and interact in a positive and professional manner with patients and their family members.
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with physicians, co-workers, patients and their families.
Ability to maintain patience and tact when interacting with hostile and emotionally upset patients, family members, visitors, etc.
Ability to coordinate work schedule with requirements of position (may include overtime).

Ability to perform physical activity, including but not limited to: repetitive motions, feeling, grasping, fingering (pinching, typing, handling, etc.), lifting, pulling, pushing, walking, standing, reaching, crouching and stooping.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist; lift up to 20 lbs. over the head; and carry up to 40 lbs. a reasonable distance.
Occasionally required to help lift and/or move patients.
Physical ability to perform all aspects of diagnostic testing, including CPR on all patients.
Cognitive skill required to administer safe patient care.
Read/write/speak and understand English.
Auditory and visual ability to assess and provide diagnostic care.
Most work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well-ventilated facilities.
