Position Description: Overview The Yellow Ribbon Support Specialist (YRSS) Event Coordinator works under the supervision of the Yellow Ribbon (YR) Regional Manager, YR Contract Manager, and in concert with the Air National Guard (ANG) Wing to assist Service Members and their Families connect with local support resources, programs, and information before, during, and after deployments. The YRSS assists in supporting the Transition Assistance Program (TAP), and Resilience and Life Skill Training, with the Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program (YRRP) as a priority. The YRSS plans, coordinates, and executes local and regional training events to meet each program's objectives within the determined funding and government contracting requirements. Position Responsibilities: Duties and Responsibilities Provide event planning that includes local, regional, online, and national efforts of the Yellow Ribbon Program and military support programs Facilitate access to YRRP information, events, activities, and services throughout the deployment/redeployment cycle Participate in military outreach activities, facilitate distribution of YRRP public relations material, and increase overall awareness and participation in YRRP Support program integration, outreach, and communication and prepare information packets for hand-outs in support Coordinate with Wing leadership to provide Wing support including day-to-day support to Airmen and Family members and act as a liaison with other support entities including Wing Airman and Family Readiness Program, Transition Assistance and Resilience activities Provide guidance, assistance, and day-to-day support and continuity for the Wing Commander's operations and initiatives and support the unit Deployment Cycle Support Program Provide logistics and planning support for Wing activities such as Resource Fairs, Family Day, and other activities that support the Wing Commanders initiatives Provide detailed reporting and data summaries to management and customers as required Input data into appropriate government systems Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Minimum Qualifications - High School Diploma Proficient in using Microsoft Office 365 Exceptional communication, organizational and interpersonal skills Ability to obtain National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) clearance Must possess a valid driver's license and can travel to geographically separated units as required Job Advertisement: About NSCG Founded in 2012, and based out of Fort Knox, Ky NSCG is a full-service Government contracting firm that supports contracts and consulting efforts on a national level.
