Join our accounting team as a Senior Accountant!

Salary up to 90K based on experience.

This hands-on, highly visible role will mentor other Accountants and support the team in the daily operation of the department. Help share your knowledge and helps others learn best practices in the accounting function.

Summary of Position

The duties of the Senior Accountantensure that the business is operating effective and efficiently by managingaccounting activity and monitoring internal controls. In addition, the Senior Accountant isresponsible for assigned finance activities, proper reporting and adherence toGAAP.

Essential Job Functions

  • Responsible for meeting established month end close deadlines by preparing and analyzing journal entries
  • Leads the resolution of issues on all assigned accounts and reconciliations to ensure proper and accurate reporting
  • Analyze finance data to ensure accuracy and compliance to Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP)
  • Mentor other team members in the department to ensure timely and accurate accounting records for assigned areas
  • Identify areas of concern in accounting records and provide proactive analysis to support the company
  • Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures
  • Prepare audit schedules and work with auditors on questions
  • Recommend and implement improvements to accounting plans, procedures and policies
  • Identify opportunities and make recommendations for cost reductions/improvements
  • Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
  • Prepares budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans
  • Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data
  • Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
  • Serve as backup to other roles within the Finance department as needed
  • Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential

Requirements of the Position

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting/finance
  • Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas
  • Expert with financial reporting requirements/GAAP and tax
  • CPA preferred
