Job Description:

Part-time Special Programs Coordinator- TechRISE Consortium

Up to 20 hours per week

Campus Location: Danvers

Grant-funded, non-benefited, temporary position

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

Under general supervision, the purpose of the position is to coordinate activities associated with the Special Programs Coordinator- SCC2 Techrise Consortium. This position performs administrative work and coordination in an academic environment; is responsible for coordinating program/project operations and logistics, coordinating work activities, assisting with budget and grant tracking, preparing/processing documentation, providing/distributing information, coordinating events/activities, and managing records. Performs related work as directed. Reports to the Dean of STEM and Business Division.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinates and assists with the SCC2 Techrise Consortium (i.e. coordinates and assists the statewide project in enhancing Prior Learning Assessment Statewide, non-credit to credit articulation, stacked/latticed credentials, assists with budget and grant tracking; performs administrative tasks). Supports activity operations (i.e. faculty/staff convening's; SCC2 meetings which may be in-person or virtual; coordinate related professional development) and prepares and processes related documentation; reports data and activities to the SCC2 Techrise Consortium; conducts research into related progra data as needed; provides and distributes information and documentation to constituents, maintains and manages records.
  • Processes a variety of documentation associated with the SCC2 Techrise Consortium within deadlines established by the Dean and Executive Director of CAS, coordinates and assists with SCC2 Techrise Consortium correspondence, reports, forms, budget documents, spreadsheets; receives correspondence, reports, forms, and surveys; distributes documentation and retains records as appropriate.
  • Performs administrative tasks associated with the SCC2 Techrise Project as directed by supervisor (i.e. operates a computer to enter and retrieve data pertaining to myexperiencecounts.mass.edu; utilizes word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, e-mail, and other software programs; maintains current information on materials collected from Massachusetts Community College).
  • Interacts with agencies and individuals associated with the SCC2 Techrise Project (i.e. attends meetings, faculty convening's, regional trainings, and on demand professional development statewide; communicates with members of the SCC2 Techrise Consortium and external agencies as directed to coordinate activities, review status of work, and exchange information.
  • Participates in meetings and professional development activities (i.e. - maintains a working knowledge of PLA statewide and NSCC IT-related programming; attends workshops and training sessions).
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or other field related to area of assignment; Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Experience and/or training involving postsecondary education, preferably in a community college setting;
  • Familiarity with Prior Learning Assessment;
  • Administrative experience in an academic environment;
  • Competent with various technologies in an academic setting;
  • Candidates will be required to pass a CORI/SORI and/or a National background check as a condition of employment

Additional Information:

SALARY RANGE: $30.03/hour

STARTING DATE: ASAP
