Salary Range:

  • $17.36/hr. - $20.85/hr.

Office Associate:

The North Range Behavioral Health Office Support staff members are located at all North Range Behavioral Health sites and are typically the first line of contact for consumers. The focus is on providing first-rate customer service to consumers and other stakeholders who enter our system.

The Office Associate performs under limited supervision, complex administrative support tasks with discretionary authority; independently makes decisions that substantially impact operations within and outside the designated program; administratively supervises comprehensive office operations.


Duties Performed:

  • Embrace the North Range Behavioral Health Mission Statement - Provide compassionate, comprehensive care for people who face mental health and addiction challenges.
  • Screen, direct, and respond to incoming calls and inquiries; interpret departmental practices and/or company policies and procedures; assist with interpretation of policy and procedures; provide interpretations requiring extensive knowledge of state, and federal rules and regulations.
  • Research, compile, develop, analyze, and integrate statistical data and prepare related reports and correspondence; perform difficult research for special projects as assigned by supervisor.
  • Coordinate information between individuals, departments, and/or outside agencies as directed; assist with problem resolution as required.
  • Demonstrate fiscal responsibility by supporting agency collection policies and procedures; assure client understanding of service changes and fee changes. May work proactively with payor sources to ensure payment of services and/or request authorization before the provision of services.
  • Assist in recommending or revising existing office policies, systems, methods, and procedures; create/revise related documentation.
  • Receive hard copy and/or electronic documents; maintain records and/or inventory systems; perform routine record keeping, compile, research, number, process, and purge information and/or documents according to established rules and procedures.
  • Assist with scheduling meetings and coordinating room arrangements for special functions (i.e., meetings, training, presentations, etc.).
  • Perform typing or word processing to complete assignments such as agendas, minutes, and instructional materials; edit documents for accuracy and make necessary corrections; complete accurate and timely data entry.
  • Assists in maintaining medical records operations by following policies and procedures; and reporting needed changes.
  • Assists in ensuring medical record availability by routing records following agency procedures.
  • Document discrepancies by collecting information and notifying others.
  • Assists in maintaining mechanisms.
  • Assists in providing medical record information by answering questions and requests of clients, staff, medical practices, law firms, insurance companies, government agencies, etc.
  • Maintains patient confidence and protects agency operations by keeping information confidential and following release-of-information protocols.
  • Assists in maintaining the stability and reputation of the agency by complying with legal requirements.
  • Assists in maintaining and utilizing a variety of health record indexes by complying with legal requirements.
  • Assists in maintaining and utilizing a variety of health record indexes and storage retrieval systems.


Education/Credentials:

  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required.


Experience:

  • 2 years experience in an administrative support position
  • Related experience in a medical field is preferred.

Salary placements will vary and may be above the starting wage based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, education, and licensure. Salary placements will generally occur between the starting wage and the midpoint of the salary range.

Employees may be eligible for additional pay based on program, evening, night, weekend, or holiday work. Bilingual pay may be available upon successful passing of language validation testing.
