Job Description

**Patient Care**:* Assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients in the Clinic and/or Long Term Care setting according to the scope of practice outlined by the Board of Nursing, approved protocols, and national standards of practice as directed by the physician preceptor.**Patient Education:*** Provides patients and/or family members with education related to the disease process, health, and wellness* Serves as a resource for community agencies as appropriate**Documentation:**��� ��* Ensures timely and accurate documentation of patient status and patient care activities including treatments, procedures, and medications prescribed**Continuing Education:*** Ensures clinical competence* Stays abreast of changes in medical management* Participates in a variety of health care education activities**Requirements:*** Master�s Degree in Nursing required; Doctorate Degree preferred* Licensed in State as a Nurse Practitioner; required* Minimum of 2 years clinical experience as an RN preferred* Excellent written and verbal communication required* Maintains working knowledge of skills and current technology; required* Interaction with a patient population of all ages ranging from neonates to geriatrics, required
