About this position

Provides assistance and support to the surgeon and operative team to ensure a safe environment, equipment functions properly, adheres to surgical concepts and infection control principles for the customer who may include: neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults or older adults. The Surgical Technologist (CST) works under the supervision of the registered nurse.

Requirements

Education

� Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent.

Experience

� Minimum of one (1) year experience as a Surgical Technologist required
� Ability to organize and prioritize.
� Communication and Interpersonal skills

Licensure/Certification

� Certified Surgical Technologist(CST) through governing body, i.e. National Board Surgical Technologists (NBST), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT); or obtained within 12 months of hire
- Community Standard
� BLS certification required at time of hire- NMHC Standard

Work Group: Surgical Technicians

Hours per two week pay period: 72

Shift: Day/Evening 8 hours

Weekend Requirement: Weekends by Department Rotation

Call Requirement: Off Premise Call

Remote or On-site: On-site

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Sign On Bonus: Surgical Technologist positions are eligible for a sign-on bonus. Amount is prorated based off the FTE accepted. Payment is subject to applicable taxes and withholdings and is contingent on agreeing to maintain employment for a given amount of time. Current North Memorial Health, Maple Grove Hospital, and Blaze Health, LLC team members or those who have been employed in the last six (6) months are not eligible for bonus.
